Beauty Icons That Are Killing It On Twitter

When it comes to beauty icons we all have our favorites.  If you are following them on Twitter you can watch your favorite celeb skyrocket as a trending topic or do something controversial in real time.  Some celebrities are naturally social and easily connect with fans on Twitter.  Who knew that we would ever be able to text our favorite celeb and possibly get them to reply back! 


Whether your checking out your favorite beauty icon tweet from the red carpet or seeing a snap shot of her salad she is eating at a luncheon we are riveted for one reason only.  The engagement they have with their fans.


Victoria Beckham




Not only does Victoria actively tweet she is a brilliant marketer.  She cleverly posted a photo of Sandra Bullock wearing a dress from her collection.




You suddenly have the insider’s look of Victoria Beckham’s glamorous life featuring another celebrity.  Beckham also links social proof of her celebrity friends who are keen to wear her brand.






Lady Gaga

One of my favorite examples of a beauty icon killing it on Twitter!  Gaga engages her audience constantly with appreciation and gratitude.









Not only is she consistent in tweeting she is consistent in sharing her life as it happens in real time.  If you pear into her Twitter account you will most likely see her life synopsis of the past week.  The most fascinating thing about Lady Gaga on Twitter is like she is doing real time performance art while sharing her thoughts with her following.


Mallika Sherawat





International movie star and is very accessible to her Twitter followers.  Mallika is not only down to earth she seems to easily pulls back the Hollywood curtain and invites you in.  It is very common to see her re-tweet and acknowledge her followers.  She is an interesting read and is the Bollywood girl next door that happens to live in Los Angeles.


Demi Moore

This beauty icon leverages her Twitter presence to global awareness and charity driven causes.  Her good work is shared on her Twitter account and is not afraid to let opinions fly when need be.


This tweet lasted almost a week before she tweeted again.  Almost like a real time soap opera one wonders what’s next.  Her candor makes her interesting to watch and her content is worthy of checking out. 



Case Study: Jeffrey Paul

Not only has Jeffrey had most of the before mentioned beauty icons as clients he is also killing it on Twitter.  He would shortly find out he would be a natural on Twitter.  Like most business owners Jeffrey Paul of Jeffrey Paul Beauty had very little time to figure out how to use Twitter.  My work with Jeffrey was truly transformational and in less than a year he not only has a great following he truly has the most amazing loyal audience on Twitter.

Jeffrey’s strategy was simple.  Give “like minded” beauty junkies what they want.  Paul talks about beauty tips, beauty gratitude, and what his favorite products are.  The celebrity make up artist tweets about his daily life in LA or on location.  Jeffrey’s Twitter community has grown and he has established a trust between his followers for simply being honest.

Paul is not the usual Hollywood type but a sincere activist on Twitter as a beauty revolutionary.  His activism as a beauty warrior includes a conversation about inner health and how nutrition is the key to real sustainable beauty.   Jeffrey actually believes that if you take away all the products you are left with your inner beauty.  Most of his followers mention him as an inspiration.

What Jeffrey does differently is that he actually reaches out to new followers and quickly includes them in a daily conversation.  Jeffrey answers every question, post ideas, shares photos, asks for opinions and even creates new business on Twitter.  Paul has used Twitter as a networking tool and has re-kindled connections with his celebrity clientele. 


Jeffrey’s Twitter results are astounding and show the value of social media marketing.  Paul actually rivals a high click through rate unlike I ever seen with other national brands or products!  Because of Jeffrey’s sincerity his followers trust his opinion and his influence is extremely solid mostly due to his expertise in his field.  His highly accessible demeanor will continue to help grow his following and is surly is the one to watch.
