How to promote like a social media PR pro PART ONE from Francesca Alexander on Vimeo.

Don’t you just love this time of year when the woulda coulda shoulda’s creep in?

Let me share one of mine.  Not so long ago I was the girl behind the brand.

Let me explain here, I was the girl behind the dream.  Someone else’s dream.

I was the makeup artist, sales exec, personal assistant, artist selling someone

else’s art, marketing person at someone else’s firm and any supportive role you

can imagine.

In a movie I would be the leading ladies best friend.  Then one day I had enough.

I wanted my life to be extraordinary life.  Extraordinary in the sense I wanted a

global with me voice in my business and in my personal life.

This is your time.  This is your someday.  Trust your gut and go with it.

The Breakthrough and Giving yourself and effing break!

My breakthrough was coming to terms with my block in wanting to promote myself.

I started by treating myself as my own best friend and my #1 client.

It’s your time to plan and let go of your 2014 goals and look into 2015.  This

time of year it’s all about promoting yourself like a PR pro in the slow months.

I take my previous goals to the beach or my favorite waterfall on my hiking trail

and release it in the water every year.  I now see that goals come to fruition when

they serve me and others best.  I don’t sweat the small stuff.  I know I’m ready

for something greater.

“Don’t go to the hardware store for milk.” -Cheryl Richardson

I love love love this quote!  We can all relate when we enthusiastic about project

or new venture, friends and family don’t get it.  Don’t share the dream before it

comes true. Be gracious.  Be diligent and go forward with your truth.  It’s your

job to decide with is in alignment with you.  No one else has to be on board.

Other entrepreneurs will get you.  Develop a network or mastermind group if

that serves you best.

Finally invest in quiet space.  Take long walks anywhere and everywhere.

Dance your ass off in the middle of the day.  Do you and you will see when

you’re ready it all lines up in front of you.
